British Coin Auctions

I have spotted a rare coin on a well known on line auction site that I AM going to buy but I need to know?
Is it best for me to type my bid with 15 seconds to the end of the auction and risk something going wrong with my computer etc etc. Or keying in my massive high bid with a week to go and just pay what I have to pay.. I collect old british coins and I have been looking for this coin for over a year now. I WILL be the highest bidder but I need to know when is it best to key in my stupidly high bid. A) With a week to go and just pay what I have to pay OR B) Wait till the last second and risk something going wrong (my computer freezing or going offline etc etc) Thank you for your answers…Cheers.
Just be careful, some e-bayers have lots of accounts in different names, they bid against themselves to up the price.I would wait to near the end.
